TicketHero

Change log

What is new in TicketHero.

TicketHero is new, so this list starts with the first version. Each entry says what you can now do as a venue. Where something is still a stand-in, we say so.

  1. Website

A step-by-step guide to getting started

    • A new page sets out every step from a first conversation to a first live booking, who does each one, and which are ready today.
    • It lists what we will ask you for, so you can gather it before we talk.
  2. Admin

    Cancelled bookings in the admin

    • The Bookings page now has a Cancelled list showing when each booking was cancelled, why, and what was refunded.
  3. API

Create, change, cancel and refund bookings through the API

    • Your own systems can now make a booking, move it to another date or start time, change the tickets, cancel it and record a refund.
    • Set how many places are on sale for a date or a single start time, and your booking page updates straight away.
    • Keys are now read only or read and write, so a reporting tool cannot change anything.
    • Refunds are a record for now. No money moves through TicketHero until card payments are live.
  4. Website

A public roadmap and this change log

    • The roadmap shows everything that works today, what we are building and what is planned, and you can filter it by the part of your venue it helps.
    • This change log records each release in plain English, newest first.
    • The example venue is now a full farm park website with photographs, so you can judge the booking flow in a realistic setting.
  5. Website

A contact form in place of an email link

    • Talk to us and Contact now open a short form, so you can tell us about your venue without leaving the site.
    • Your enquiry reaches us by email and we reply the same way.
  6. Website

An example venue you can book a visit to

    • The public demo now sits on a full page for a fictional farm, so you can see the booking flow as your visitors would meet it on a venue website.
    • The venue is made up and no payment is taken, so you can try a booking from start to finish.
  7. Website

    Private previews for venues

    • We can show you a mock-up of your own website with the booking flow built in, using your experiences, dates and prices.
    • The preview walks through a booking, the staff admin and the gate, and lists what would change for your visitors and your team.
    • It opens only with an access code, so nothing about your venue appears on a public page.
  8. Website

A public website and venue sign in

    • The website explains the product, includes a live demo and says plainly what works today and what is still being built.
    • Your staff sign in from a link on every page.
    • TicketHero has its own name, logo and colours, and the ticket mark is the site icon in your browser tab.
  9. API

A venue API and booking notifications

    • Read your own experiences, availability and bookings from your other systems.
    • Create an API key in the admin. It is shown once and reaches your venue's data only.
    • Have your systems told the moment a booking is confirmed or checked in at the gate. Each message is signed, so you can check it came from us.
    • The API documentation is public, so your developer can read it before you commit to anything.
  10. Booking

Add booking to any page with two lines

    • Paste two lines into any page of your website and the booking flow appears there, on your own address.
    • The flow sizes itself to fit its content, so there is no second scrollbar and no empty gap beneath it.
    • Each booking records where the visitor came from, such as a campaign or another website.
  11. Admin

    Staff admin and gate check-in

    • See today's numbers as soon as you sign in.
    • View every start time by date, and release more places on a date when you are ready to sell them.
    • Search your bookings.
    • Check visitors in at the gate by scanning the code on their ticket or typing the booking reference.
  12. Booking

A booking page for every customer

    • After booking, your customer gets a private link to their ticket and its code.
    • They fill in a short form for each child before the day, so your team has the details ahead of the visit.
  13. Booking

    Booking on your own website

    • Visitors choose an experience, a date, a start time, their tickets and any extras, then give their details, without being sent to another site.
    • The full price, with every mandatory fee, is shown from the first step.
    • A place is held for ten minutes while the visitor completes their booking, so a start time cannot be sold twice.
    • Payment is a stand-in for now. No card is taken, and every booking screen says so.
