Spring

Lambing time

The busiest and best weeks of the farm year. Around sixty lambs are born in the big shed, and the doors stay open so you can watch from the straw bales.

  • See new lambs in the nursery pens, some only hours old
  • Help bottle feed the lambs who need a hand
  • Meet the first goat kids and piglets of the year
  • Ask the shepherd anything at the daily lambing talk

Dates and tickets for lambing time have not been announced yet. Nothing is on sale.

Summer holidays

Summer on the farm

The fields are open, the hay is in and the days are long. Bring a picnic and stay until the animals go to bed.

  • Trailer rides round the fields behind the old tractor
  • Den building and a straw bale climb in the top field
  • Pond dipping by the stream on warm afternoons
  • Ice cream from the café hatch

Dates and tickets for summer on the farm have not been announced yet. Nothing is on sale.

Pumpkin picking

We grow two acres of pumpkins and squashes behind the orchard. Take a wheelbarrow, wander the rows and bring back the ones you like best.

  • Pick your own from the field, big, small and knobbly
  • A carving table in the barn, with the scooping done outdoors
  • A hay bale trail for small explorers
  • Pumpkin soup and spiced apple juice in the café

Dates and tickets for pumpkin picking have not been announced yet. Nothing is on sale.
